The Last Queen of the Earth

Synopsis:
Ali Bakhsh is a young Afghani immigrant who works in a henna factory in Yazd. It’s
been sometime now that he hasn’t received any letters from his wife, Shahgol who
is still in Afghanistan. When Ali learns of the American attack on his country after
September 11, he can no longer wait; he heads back for his homeland.

DIRECTOR’S CV:
Mohammad Reza Arab was born in 1966, in Tehran, Iran. He began his filmmaking career
by directing documentaries. He has also produced and directed several TV series.
He has received numerous awards for his cinematic achievements.
