A HERO…IN ROME
|
SYNOPSIS:
A young man dares to realize his dream. He goes to Rome to see his operatic idol.
Instead of joy, he is the victim of a theft that changes and upsets everything in
his life. He always remains true to himself while living the bittersweet experiences
of his trip. Solitude and nostalgia bring out childhood memories from which he drives
his strength. In the end, an extreme event stigmatizes his return to Greece..

Panos Angelopoulos Director of "A Hero in Rome"
Panos Angelopoulos is a popular and successful film comedy director, having worked
with many of today’s leading Greek comedy actors. He has studied at the Theatrical
Studio of Athens as well as the International Film School in England. He has directed
numerous TV series and documentaries. Among his works: First Aegean (1983), In Memory
of Harry (1985), Made in Greece (1990).
