Rachid Ferchiou is a Tunisian filmmaker, scriptwriter, and television pioneer - responsible for several features, TV dramas and documentaries – Ferchiou is also a successful feature film director and co-producer in his own right. In 1971-1975, he directed "Yusra", a Swis-Tunisian co-production selected at the African section of Quinzaine des Réalisateurs in 1972 at the Cannes Festival. His 1975 follow-up, "The Children of Trouble", presented at the United Nations, won the UNICEF Label in New York. Ferichou went on to direct "Autum '86" (1991), and "Echec et Mat" (1995). In 2007, he directed "The Accident", selected in many festivals including Shanghaï, Oran, and Brussels. Ferichou has also served as President of the Committee of the Cinematographic Days of Carthage (J.C.C. Carthage Film Festival ) as well as being a jury member on many international festivals such as the Prague Film Festival, the Cochin Film Festival, and the Fipa Biarritz Film Festival to name a few. His next releases, currently in pre production are "Shouk El Yasmine", "China Dream", and "Bourguiba".

"رشيد فرشيو" مخرج تونسي، وكاتب السناريو، وأحد رواد التلفزيون، وله به أفلام روائية، ومسلسلات تلفزيونية، وأفلام وثائقية، كما أخرج وشارك في إنتاج أفلام روائية طويلة. وفي الفترة ما بين ١٩٧١و ١٩٧٥، أخرج في إنتاج مشترك مع السويد فيلم "يسرا" ، الذي أختير ضمن أفلام المخرجين الخمسة عشر في قسم أفريقيا بمهرجان كان عام ١٩٧٢. وتوالت أفلامه ومنها: "أطفال المتاعب" (١٩٧٥)، والذي عرض في الأمم المتحدة وحصل على شريط اليونيسيف في نيويورك، "خريف ۸٦" (١٩٩١)، و"كش ملك" (١٩٩٥). وفي عام ٢٠٠٧، أخرج "الحادث"، والذي أختيرفي العديد من المهرجانات كمهرجان شنغهاي، مهرجان وهران، ومهرجان بروكسل وآخرين. وقد كان رئيس لجنة أيام قرطاج السينمائية ، وكذلك مهرجان كوبا، وعضو لجنة تحكيم العديد من المهرجانات في مختلف أنحاء العالم كمهرجان براغ السينمائي، مهرجان كوشين السينمائي ، مهرجان فيبا بياريتز. ومن أعماله المقبلة، والتي في الوقت الراهن في مرحلة ما قبل الإنتاج : "شوك الياسمين"، "حلم الصين"، و"الحبيب بورقيبة".
