Scriptwriter and director Joana Kos-Krauze is the Chairman of The Association of Polish Scriptwriters. She also works as an expert for Euroimage in Strasbourg and for the Polish Film Institute, having been nominated by the Polish Minister of Culture. Along with her husband, acclaimed Polish filmmaker Krzysztof Krauze, they have produced numerous documentaries and feature movies. Joanna, studied Polish Language and Oriental Studies alongside her husband at the Warsaw University. The couple’s most recent feature is "Plac Zbawiciela (Saviour Square)" in 2006, yet the film that garnered them the most awards – including 20 international awards and invitations to more than 130 festivals – was the classic "Mój Nikifor (My Nikifor)" in 2004. To date, the Krauze's films have received about 140 awards all over the world.
