Born in 1970 in Hanover, Germany, Mr. Scheel grew up in Paris and Tokyo. He studied
Art History and Law in Berlin. After becoming a lawyer in 1999, he started working
for Ernst and Young Consultants, his areas of expertise being company and media
law. In July 2002, he decided to develop the Reelport project for the Oberhausen
Short Film Festival, delving into the world of Cinema. In 2004, Mr. Scheel founded
the Reelport GmbH as a separate company, becoming its managing director. He has
sat on numerous panels for the digital distribution of films at festivals such as
Oberhausen, Clermont Ferrand and the Berlinale.
