Nurgul Yesilcay was born in 1976 in Izmir, Turkey. She studied Acting at the University of Anatolia. In 1998, she got her first role in one of Turkey’s most popular TV series. She soon progressed tremendously in her acting career, holding leading roles in prominent TV series and films. She has worked with some of Turkey’s most important directors, such as Semir Aslanyurek (The Waterfall, 2000), Atif Yilmaz (Borrowed Bride, 2005) and Baris Pirhasan (Adam and the Devil, 2007). She is one of Turkey’s most sought after stars.
